To the Families of the Naga missionaries,
We are in the midst of another typhoon, this one is named Ruby. It is expected to reach landfall during the evening of Saturday, December 6. All of the missionaries have been instructed to have their 72-hr kits with water. They are also to have emergency money of P1,000 in small bills and charged cell phones.
The missionaries that are serving in coastal regions have been moved to inland locations. Missionaries that have second levels will remain in their apartments. Those that do not have a second level will be relocated to other apartments or local churches. Several hours before the typhoon reaches our area the missionaries will be confined to their apartment or emergency location.
I hope this gives you some comfort. I will contact you again following the typhoon with an update. Please be aware that during the last typhoon we lost communication towers that took a few days to restore.
